Support Ontario Youth Announces Craig Brockwell’s Retirement

July 31, 2023

Craig Brockwell, the Director of External Affairs at Support Ontario Youth, is retiring effective July 31, 2023.

Support Ontario Youth would like to thank Craig for all he has done throughout the capacity of 5-years working with SOY. In his position at SOY, Craig has established tremendous relationships with stakeholders within the construction, industrial and motive power sectors to develop valuable programs, and partnerships, to increase involvement in the skilled trades.

The skilled trades have always been a major part of Craig’s life, whether on the tools, teaching or advocating for its importance through his work as a government relations professional. Craig shared insight that working as a skill-trades professional means, you learn new experiences every day.

"Today, I am announcing my retirement, effective July 31st. It has been an incredible journey working alongside all of you, contributing to the growth of skilled trades in both minor and significant capacities. As I step into this new chapter, I will remain devoted to advocating for the skilled trades and addressing the skills gap, a cause I have passionately supported for nearly 45 years. Rest assured that you are in capable hands moving forward. Thank you for your unwavering support and collaboration throughout the years." - Craig Brockwell

Although Craig is no longer with SOY, his advocacy for the skilled trades will continue in different aspects of his life with his son’s working in the skilled trades.
