Mo Awan

Mo Awan

Chair

Mo Awan has 20 plus years working in the electrical industry from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) to distribution.

His previous role was for a start-up investment funding, acting as a national liaison. He is now the VP of Business Development at Stonebrook Asset Management and is helping Stonebrook expand.

Mo is a member of the Oakville Hospital Foundation development committee, The Oakville Chamber of Commerce, and 100 Guys Who Care Oakville, he also chairs the Support Ontario Youth Charity designed to help young people enter the trades.
Michael Sherrard

Michael Sherrard

Secretary Treasurer

Michael Sherrard is one of Canada's leading employment and labour lawyers. He is a former Chair of the National Labour and Employment Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and the Labour and Employment Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association.

He is the Chair of Skilled Trades Ontario (a Provincial Crown Agency under the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development), sits on the board of directors of Skills Canada (Ontario), and Support Ontario Youth (among others).

Michael has received several awards for leadership and community involvement. He appreciates the importance of giving young people opportunities to develop skills, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
Sally Harvey

Sally Harvey

Director

Sally Harvey has over 30 years of experience in landscape and horticulture. She has been the Director of Education and Workforce Development at Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association for over 14 years.

She has led the development of Landscape Ontario's Group Sponsor Program and is actively involved in modernizing the apprenticeship system, health and safety prevention, and other initiatives.

Her passion is promoting trade professions, employers that support sustainable solutions to the skilled labour gap and so much more.
Gerry Fedchun

Gerry Fedchun

Director

Gerry Fedchun was appointed Director Commercial of Hepburn Engineering Inc. in 2011. He is also a former president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA). Before APMA, Gerry was Chairman and CEO of ITT Canada Limited.

He holds a BME degree from Kettering University, a Doctor Juris from the University of Toronto, an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and an honorary Bachelor of Applied Studies from Georgian College. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries, Law Society of Upper Canada, and Past alternate to the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council.

Gerry's passion is his work and serves on many, not-for-profit boards.
Tony Ennis

Tony Ennis

Director

Tony has been active in business for many years. He started Round Oak in 2000 and has been involved in financing, acquisitions, and sale of businesses for over 40 years. He has held a number of senior positions in the financial services industry and has served on the Boards of both Public and Private Corporations including Contrans Corp (TSE listed from 2000 to 2015) and Biorem Inc (TSE Venture 2015- 2019).

He is currently an advisor to several private companies. He is a former member of West Park Health Care Centre and is a past Chair of the West Park Foundation. Tony is active in his community having chaired a refugee committee that successfully sponsored a family of 6 from Syria. This family is now happily settled here, and this year received their Canadian citizenship. He is now working with a group hoping to sponsor a family of 4 from Afghanistan.

Subject to ongoing injuries, Tony is an avid golfer and makes every effort possible to see his grandchildren (10 and 14).
