SOY's Trades Readiness Program is designed to support individuals as they explore opportunities in the skilled trades. Through mentorship, guidance, and access to valuable resources, the program helps participants build the knowledge, confidence, and foundational skills needed to begin their journey toward a career in the industry.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma. There is no upper age limit.
A four-part live webinar series designed to help participants build essential employability skills, understand apprenticeship pathways, and prepare for a career in the skilled trades. Led by industry experts and career professionals, the series includes practical learning on workplace skills, trade readiness, safety awareness, and career preparation.
We offer pathways to mandatory safety training, including initial online safety training, resources, and support from safety training providers, and can guide you toward the right pathway to obtain the specific safety training required for your trade.
