Support Ontario Youth Supporting the Advancement of Apprenticeships

November 10, 2020

At Support Ontario Youth, we believe in the apprenticeship process and are dedicated to filling the trades gap with well-trained, qualified men and women. We are a not-for-profit organization committed to streamlining one of the oldest forms of education.

We not only assist apprentices along their journey, but we provide support on all sides of the equation, helping assist employers and informing educators and the general public. We are a federally registered charity with a vision to help streamline and modernize the apprenticeship pathway in order to elevate the professionalism of the skilled trades.

We are here to help advance apprenticeships by:

  1. Providing financial assistance to the men and women entering, or are already in the trades, allowing them to continue their education in a recognizable trade. This assistance can take the form of scholarships, grants, loans, or other forms as needed.
  2. Being a one-stop-shop for apprentices, employers, teachers, parents, and the general public who may have questions about apprenticeships. We provide unbiased, direct, truthful, and current facts. We filter through the overwhelming amount of information and answer people’s questions in a way that is easy for them to understand.
