Fall 2020 Support Ontario Youth $500 Education Scholarship Recipients

One way we do this at Support Ontario Youth is through providing scholarships to those currently apprenticing in Ontario. Scholarships are awarded to those with an active registered training agreement, and still need to attend trade-school at an approved Ontario College.

This fall, we were thrilled to award $5000 worth of scholarships to apprentices in the electrical, plumbing, and motive power trades. See below to read how this money, and SOY’s support, has supported them in helping them achieve their goals:

Benicio C – “The great team at SOY not only provides all the support that apprentices need, but they are there to show that they care about us and help make the process a lot of easier for us.”

Eddie T – “Support Ontario Youth relieves a bit of stress off my shoulders and gives me some much needed relief knowing that I won’t have to worry about my tuition fee and where I’m going to get that money.”

Cody C – When I received SOY's scholarship email, I was ecstatic; it meant a lot to me. It meant I had one less thing to worry about and, in my life that's a big deal. I have a million things going on all the time, being a dad is busy! Thank you so much SOY, you have been a huge step in my success!”

Sandro T – “Thank you SOY for offering support to skilled trade workers. We often get neglected, but it's nice to have support for all the hard work we do!”

Quinton M – “Winning this scholarship has given me an inundation of pride in my hard work through my apprenticeship, and I hope to carry that same pride and hard work through a very fulfilling career.”
