Bolt Logo Women in construction Scholarship

BOLT Charitable Foundation, in partnership with Support Ontario Youth and Ontario Building & Construction Tradeswomen, are proud to present the BOLT Women in Construction Grant for female apprentices in the construction trades.

Successful recipients receive $500 and are connected to a female mentor from their own or similar trade to help provide additional career advice and support.

BOLT creates awareness about the diversity of careers in the industry through Speak Outs, offers immersive career exploration through Days of Discovery and Job Shadowing, and provides financial assistance for post-secondary and skilled training programs.

DO YOU MEET
THE FOLLOWING
QUALIFICATIONS?

  • Identify as Female
  • Registered Apprentice
  • Aged 17 - 29
  • Working in a Construction Trade
  • Reside in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Can Demonstrate a Financial Need

Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria above can apply for the grant at any time. Multiple grants are awarded throughout the year and can be applied to the costs of workwear, tools, in-class training, or living expenses.

• January 1 to March 31 (successful recipients announced in April/May)
• April 1 to June 30 (successful recipients announced in July/August)
• July 1 to Sept 30 (successful recipients announced in October/November)
• Oct 1 to Dec 31 (successful recipients announced in January February)
