Support Ontario Youth (SOY) is proud to announce the expansion of its Group Sponsorship Program to include two additional Red Seal trades: 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer and 310T Truck and Coach Technician. Employers and apprentices in these trades can now access SOY’s full suite of supports, from registration through to completion.
This expansion allows SOY to provide more opportunities to those pursuing careers in the skilled trades while helping employers grow their teams with less administrative burden. As a group sponsor, SOY simplifies the apprenticeship process by guiding apprentices and employers through every stage of the journey, ensuring a streamlined and supportive experience for all involved.
“Our Group Sponsorship Program is about making apprenticeship more accessible and more manageable for both apprentices and employers,” says Melanie Winter, Executive Director at Support Ontario Youth. “By adding 310B and 310T, we’re creating more pathways to success and making it easier for employers to invest in Ontario’s next generation of skilled workers.”
SOY’s Group Sponsorship Program is designed to improve completion rates and increase employer participation across the trades. Employers benefit from reduced paperwork, guidance on regulatory requirements, and access to a growing network of support. Apprentices receive mentorship, progress tracking, and individualized support along the way.
